What is an image bundling?

In a cloud platform, image bundling refers to the preparation of a virtual machine with required software along with other special requirements and then saving it as an image in a Cloud Platform. This is called a golden image. In general, this image is then used as a template for VMs provisioned in the future.

Using golden images you can launch successive VMs with similar/different compute configurations without the need to reconfigure your software for each individual machine.
