I get the error “Unable to load service” when attempting to install FileCatalyst Server as a service on CentOS Linux. How can I proceed?

Problem:

When attempting to install FC Direct service in CentOS Linux the command line prompt exhibits error:

[root@cent53-64-qgmr service_wrapper]# ./install.sh

[......]

Unable to load service.  Start/Stop script is currently placed in
/etc/init.d, and must be configured to start on init 3 and init 5
Please check your distribution to know how to properly load the script
on bootup.

This effect is caused by the operating system that does not allow user root to acces folder/sbin/

Solution:

To solve this problem the administrator has to ensure the user root has access to the  install scripts (chkconfig and service) that reside in foilder /sbin/. This can be done through creating symbolic links:

[root@cent53-64-qgmr sbin]# ln -s /sbin/chkconfig /usr/bin/chkconfig
[root@cent53-64-qgmr sbin]# ln -s /sbin/service /usr/bin/service

After then the installation command may be started:

[root@cent53-64-qgmr service_wrapper]# ./install.sh
